What we do
Six Service Lines. One Trusted Team.
XCEL self-performs demolition, framing, drywall, painting, finish carpentry, window & door installation, asbestos abatement, and mold remediation. We own our own equipment fleet and dumpsters.
Full-scope GC from preconstruction through closeout — subcontractor coordination, CPM scheduling, RFIs, OAC meetings, Procore updates, and punch-list completion.
Large-scale new construction delivered on time and on budget. Principal experience includes 500,000 SF industrial warehouses and $19.8M distribution builds.
Structural and selective demolition — hazmat coordination, permitting, OSHA safety planning, and full site turnover using our own heavy equipment fleet.
S-350 licensed abatement with full documentation and compliance. XCEL has managed some of Utah’s largest hazardous material projects across universities, government facilities, and commercial properties.
Campus rehabs, commercial TIs, and full building rehabilitations. XCEL self-performs the core scope — framing, drywall, paint, carpentry, windows, and doors — so there’s one point of accountability.

About XCEL General Contracting
30 Years of Grit. Built for What’s Coming.
XCEL is a veteran-owned Utah commercial general contractor serving public agencies, universities, institutions, commercial developers, and industrial clients — with in-house demolition, abatement, renovation, equipment, dumpster, and self-perform capabilities. Founded in 2014 in Bountiful, Utah by Jim Redmond and Bryan Wilmot, XCEL has grown from a regional contractor into a company delivering multi-million dollar projects for state agencies, universities, the federal government, and commercial developers statewide.
XCEL self-performs demolition, framing, abatement, and finishes, and owns its own heavy equipment fleet — the kind of vertical integration that gives owners real accountability rather than a daisy chain of subcontractors.
In 2026, XCEL brought on two new principals — Jerry Price (29+ years, 4M+ SF of industrial delivered) and Bob Gedeborg (senior estimator with $1B+ annual budget experience) — positioning the company for its next phase of growth toward $100M in annual revenue.
